GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. The mission of The First Tee of Manhattan is to positively impact the lives of young people (ages 5-17) by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy habits through the game of golf. We currently serve 8,000+ youth per year from our local communities. Starting at a young age, we focus on academic achievement to help every youth envision and prepare for college. Here are some additional reasons to participate in #GivingTuesday:- #GivingTuesday is a special call to action to create a global day of giving that brings diverse organizations and communities around the world together to give back.
